Little Pine Angler Young Angler Fishing Tournament

Creating Miles of Smiles!

The Little Pine Angler Young Angler Tournament is hosted by FM Walleyes Unlimited of Fargo/Moorhead during the first weekend of August. Following the established Angler Young Angler format, the event hosts a maximum of 40 teams comprised of one adult and two young anglers, 17 years of age or younger, to compete in a one-day walleye tournament on Little Pine Lake in the heart of Minnesota lakes country near Perham, MN.

The mission of this event is to provide youth with the excitement of a real walleye tournament, focus on the experience of the young anglers and promote the sport of fishing and a fondness for the outdoors. The tournament will be conducted in a Catch-Record-Release format, providing the best opportunity to compete and be conservation minded. Festivities commence on Friday evening with a family picnic and rules meeting. Saturday’s tournament begins with boat inspection and valet boat launching and parking. At the end of the fishing day, teams are escorted to the weigh-in stage where each team is individually interviewed on stage about the events of the day. While this is a competitive event, every team gets to share a story about their day on the water. Following a group photo, awards are presented. The winning team taking home a Lund-A12 boat, Mercury motor and ShoreLand'r trailer! There are also plaques awarded to the top ten placing teams, plus every team goes home with a great package of prizes, regardless of their final standings.

This event would not be possible without the support of generous sponsors and amazing volunteers! Please take a moment to recognize them for their support in making this youth focused event possible!

Sincerely,
Kyle Agre & Andrew Shae
